Strong support from the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and the AER BFC: from setting up to production
On 27 November 2025, the inauguration of the Vicky Foods factory – the Spanish group Dulcesol’s first production site in France – marked a major milestone for industry in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
This facility in Fragnes-la-Loyère (Saône-et-Loire) is situated at the heart of the SaôneOr zone in the Grand Châlon area, the result of the ambitious redevelopment of the former Kodak site, the leading industrial park between Paris and Lyon. It reinforces the region’s position as a testing ground for reindustrialisation in France, offering strong prospects for employment, industrial expertise and the regeneration of brownfield sites.
During the event, Vicky Foods executives spoke of the region’s strengths that guided their decision to set up there:
- Rafael JUAN, CEO of Vicky Foods
- Edouart VAN DEN DRIESSCHE, Country Manager France
- Jose Vicente CASTELL SANFELIX, International Relations Manager
The AER BFC supported the project at every stage, primarily to promote our region against competing areas.
Today, the factory is up and running: a concrete and inspiring example of synergy between businesses, local authorities and central government.
