Job Description

The Regional Economic Agency (AER BFC) serves two main audiences: businesses and local territories.

As part of the Economic and Territorial Intelligence Division, your mission will be to support the economic development and employment growth in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region by deepening the understanding of territorial dynamics and assisting local stakeholders.

Missions

  • Contributing to the production, analysis, and monitoring of localized economic data
  • Participating in the development of territorial projects and conducting socio-economic diagnostics
  • Designing analysis and facilitation tools and applying them in the field
  • Managing projects and leading working groups
  • Office-based work with travel throughout the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region

Skills

  • Territorial development
  • Socio-economic studies
  • Familiarity with the missions of local authorities
  • Processing numerical data
  • Document analysis, report writing, oral presentations, and simplification of complex information
  • Understanding of macro- and microeconomic dynamics and processes (preferred)
  • Knowledge of urban planning and regulatory documents (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of economic development (preferred)
  • Spatial analysis and geographic information processing (preferred)
  • Tools:
    Advanced Excel: required
    Other Microsoft Office applications: required
    Knowledge and experience with GIS tools: preferred

Profile

Master’s degree (Master 2) in local development, territorial development engineering, regional economics, or territorial management
Or: experience working in a local authority, consulting firm, or in the field of regional economic development
