On November 25 and 26, a regional delegation led by the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region will travel to Brussels for a new mission dedicated to promoting biotherapies and bioproduction. This initiative follows the first edition held in 2024 and is part of the 2024–2028 Regional Roadmap adopted by the Regional Assembly.

On the agenda:

  • Tuesday, November 25: discussions and exchanges on the Biotech Act and the upcoming 2028–2034 EU budget.
  • Wednesday, November 26: visit to the BioPark in Charleroi, a flagship site of the Belgian biotechnology ecosystem, followed by a meeting with France’s Representative to the European Union to present the results and projects driven by the regional sector, particularly under the BIOVALIANCE brand.

A representative regional delegation

The delegation will include regional elected officials, representatives from the Regional Administration and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regional Economic Agency (AER BFC), as well as partners such as PMT, Témis Technopole, Santenov, and the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR).

Strengthening regional momentum at the European level

Through this mission, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté reaffirms its commitment to embedding its centers of excellence within European research and innovation policies. By highlighting the regional expertise in biotherapies and bioproduction, the Region and its partners aim to enhance the visibility of their skills and projects across the European stage.
