Call for projects: ‘Innovations in biotherapies and bioproduction’

The call for projects ‘Innovations in Biotherapies and Bioproduction’ is a support mechanism that forms part of the ‘Bioterapies and Bioproduction of Innovative Therapies’ acceleration strategy. Its aim is to catalyse and maintain excellence in biotherapy research, in particular by accelerating technology transfer and ensuring a constant flow of innovations, from the laboratory bench to the patient’s bedside.
Expected projects
Expected projects must propose innovative solutions relating to the following three themes (details in the specifications):
Theme 1: Development of biotherapies in human or animal health (where an impact on human health is envisaged)
Theme 2: Development of R&D or stratification tools for the development of biotherapies.
Theme 3: Development of new bioproduction processes, new tools, equipment and systems for optimising existing bioproduction technologies.
Support terms
Support for economic activities will consist of a grant and a repayable portion.
Submission of applications
The call for projects is open until 8 September 2026 at 12 noon (midday, Paris time).
Applications may be submitted from the date of publication of the call for projects. They will be reviewed on the following interim dates:
- 12 March 2026 at 12 noon (midday Paris time)
- 8 September 2026 at 12 noon (midday Paris time)
Applications must be submitted to Bpifrance in electronic form via its online platform.
