The 6th edition of the Hydrogen Business For Climate Forum will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Axone in Montbéliard. Under the theme “The H2 Sector Under Pressure? Let’s Prepare for What’s Next!”, this must-attend event for the hydrogen sector in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté will bring together industry leaders, public policymakers, experts, researchers, and project leaders. The day is designed to serve as a business accelerator—a place where decisions are made and the right people come together in one room.
Three Strategies to Accelerate the Industry
While a slowdown may be evident in France, this is not the case throughout Europe, and even less so in certain regions of the world. Hydrogen has not been abandoned: it has even been designated a national priority under China’s new five-year plan, and in several countries, projects are moving past the final investment decision stage.
Without hydrogen at a reasonable cost, there can be no market. However, we are beginning to see the emergence of sites that will produce renewable hydrogen on a large scale, including in France. So, the industry must not give up: efforts must be focused on the most concrete applications.
This 2026 edition proposes exploring three major levers to accelerate the development of hydrogen markets:

- choose hydrogen for mobility

The Forum’s Opening Night
Starting on December 7, the Montbéliard Metropolitan Area will get participants involved in the network’s activities with a fun-filled program in the heart of the city:
5:30 p.m.: Guided tour of the “Les lumières de Noël” Christmas Market
7:00 p.m.: Panel discussion on the theme “Northern Franche-Comté: A Legacy of Industry, A Shared Spirit of Perseverance,” featuring testimonials from local industrialists. The evening will conclude with a cocktail reception and networking opportunity.
