Unique expertise
supporting biotherapies and bioproduction

Filab continues to grow in biotherapies
For 45 years, the Dijon-based laboratory Filab has been offering its services in chemical analysis and material characterization. While the company has already been working for several years on the characterization of small molecules, in 2024 Filab developed a new activity: the physicochemical characterization of large molecules, such as recombinant proteins, vaccines, and other biotherapies.
Bionoveo supports research and development in biotherapies
Located in the heart of the Besançon university hospital campus, partly on the premises of the French Blood Establishment (EFS) and partly in the Bio Innovation building, Bionoveo is the health R&D center of the FC’INNOV Foundation, which comprises the EFS, Marie & Louis Pasteur University (formerly the University of Franche-Comté) and SUPMICROTECH – ENSMM. Its goal? To bridge the gap between academic research and the industrial world.
BioIMP: Diaclone produces bispecific antibodies
Located in close proximity to the French Blood Establishment in Besançon, Diaclone was founded in 1986 before becoming part of the Medix Biochemica group in July 2021. This biotechnology company, which specializes in the development and production of antibodies, logically joined the consortium around the BioIMP project to contribute its expertise and participate in the Region’s initiative, supported by the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regional Economic Agency, to optimize the manufacture of biomedicines.
The CTM puts biotherapies to work in the fight against cancer
Based in Dijon, the Center for Translational Research in Molecular Medicine (CTM) is working on the development of anti-cancer drugs for use in biotherapy. This joint research unit, located on the premises of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Burgundy Europe, has no fewer than ten research teams specializing in oncology, metabolism, and genetics.
