Kering Eyewear invests in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region
The Regional Economic Agency of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, which has accompanied Kering Eyewear in its reflection since the end of 2021, welcomes the decision of Kering Eyewear to invest in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, in the Haut-Jura, the cradle of French eyewear.
Strengthening the eyewear ecosystem
By acquiring UNT, one of the jewels in the crown of the eyewear subcontracting industry, Kering Eyewear has strengthened an eyewear ecosystem that the Regional Council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté has been supporting for years through a multi-annual collective action programme.
Its support for initial training as well as for the retraining of jobseekers has also contributed to perpetuating the excellence of luxury and microtechnology know-how in the Jura as in the rest of the region.
The arrival of Kering Eyewear contributes to the development and influence of the regional economy and the regional luxury and exceptional know-how sector, and rewards the long-term work of the Regional Economic Agency, which has been mandated to do so by the Regional Council.
