The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region at Viva Technology
The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and the Regional Economic Agency of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (AER BFC) were present at the Viva Technology Fair in Paris from May 22 to 25 alongside 14 regional start-ups. This participation illustrates the region’s commitment to highlightinginnovation and its innovative ecosystems.
A Common Regional Stand
The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and AER BFC, accompanied by 14 regional start-ups, were present at a common pavilion to welcome visitors (stand B27 – Hall 1) to showcase our innovative projects and explore the regional ecosystem as well as the numerous opportunities offered by our territory.Marie-Guite DUFAY, President of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region, inaugurated the stand with her presence on May 22, the first day of this fair which is a great showcase for the 14 regional start-ups exhibiting:
- 1 km à pied, Blue Frog Robotics, CLHYNN, Cocolis, Ecollant, Foxar, Interstis, IntyReality, Losanje, Mincatec Energy, N2Air, Silmach, Strivee, Vibiscus
During the fair, AER BFC and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region were able to meet and exchange with Patrick MOLINOZ, Vice-President of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region in charge of digital transitions, innovation, European policies, international actions and export, and Laurent SAINT-MARTIN, Director General of Business France. The Agency and the region also met with Roberto BALZARETTI, the Swiss Ambassador to France.
La French Tech BFC, French Tech Capital of the Year 2024
The presence of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region at the Viva Technology Fair, the largest European digital fair, is part of the Regional Strategy for Economic Development, Innovation, and Internationalization (SRDEII). Its goal is to position the region in the global competition and to promote its expertise internationally, particularly in foodtech, healthtech, new mobility, energy, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, recognized as a fertile ground for technological innovations, stands out for exemplary collaboration between public and private actors. Its tech ecosystem now includes more than 400 start-ups and 1,200 establishments, creating around 20,000 jobs; these assets have earned French Tech Bourgogne-Franche-Comté the designation of French Tech Capital of the Year 2024.
This tech ecosystem, combined with a flourishing industrial heritage, offers an environment conducive to the development of industrial start-ups.
