Two hundred new jobs. A boost for the luxury goods industry in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
AER BFC President, Arnaud Marthey, and the members of the governing body of the Regional Economic Agency are delighted that the Thomas Group is to set up in the Mâcon area of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and has announced that 200 jobs are to be created.
The Agency has recently worked alongside Mâcon Beaujolais Agglomération and the Regional Council’s services to facilitate the arrival of Maroquinerie THOMAS in the area.
Backing up the Regional Council, it will continue to be on hand for the group and its development
This new establishment confirms the strategic character of the regional “luxury goods” industry, which is recognized nationally and internationally.
For some 10 years now, the sector has enabled numerous job seekers (both men and women) to be trained and to bring them into skilled trades.
AER is therefore to continue its work promoting and strengthening this industry which is a true economic force for the Region.
