The Regional Economic Agency (AER BFC) targets two audiences: businesses and territories.

As part of the Energy Transition and Sustainable Economy Division, you will be tasked with leveraging your expertise in heat recovery and renewable energies for businesses in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.

The position presented is a genuine opportunity for any motivated individual wishing to play a key role in the development of renewable energies and heat recovery. You will join a dynamic and dedicated team of 5 people, as well as a small-scale Agency, well-known and recognized in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Working alongside the current mission officer, your mission will involve prospecting for new projects, guiding businesses in the region through the implementation of renewable energy and heat recovery projects (EnR&R): conducting opportunity studies, proposing technical solutions, assisting in drafting specifications, seeking funding in collaboration with the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and the regional branch of ADEME, liaising with entities such as engineering firms, providing advice and information on the stages of energy projects, monitoring and evaluating implemented projects. You will also contribute to promoting regional projects. You will work in pairs during your training period in this position.

You will participate in the regional ecosystem’s activities and in the Regional Ecological and Economic Transition Network and the Renewable Energy Facilitators Network, led by ADEME and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region. Frequent travel throughout the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, and occasionally elsewhere in France, is expected.

Duties

  • Meet with companies to diagnose their needs, raise awareness, and advise them to take action,
  • Support companies in adopting and implementing EnR&R integration projects,
  • Conduct opportunity analyses for the implementation of renewable energies (mainly wood, solar thermal, and geothermal) and waste heat,
  • Assist in the submission and processing of subsidy applications related to EnR&R,
  • Participate in regional and/or ADEME Bourgogne-Franche-Comté working groups.
  • Participate in communication dedicated to the EnR&R theme (via AER and Eco-innovez in BFC tools: website, social media, etc.) and other events directly related to the EnR&R mission.
  • Participate in regional networks for Ecological and Economic Transition and for renewable energy facilitators.

Education/Experience

With a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) or ideally a Master’s degree (Bac+5) or Engineering degree in energy (energy engineering, thermal engineering, climate engineering, renewable energies, etc.), preferably with prior experience in these fields and specific knowledge in EnR&R and broader environmental topics. Experience in the industrial sector or in client-facing roles would be desirable.
