Job Description

The Regional Economic Agency of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (AER BFC) caters to two audiences: businesses and local territories. As a member of the Economic Development team at AER BFC, your mission will be to:

  • Locally support business leaders in various stages of their companies (establishment, growth, operation, challenges, etc.),
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with local authorities to stay informed about their economic development projects and coordinate their actions with the local fabric.

Your additional role will be to act as the agency’s wood industry contact, acting as an interface for the roll-out of the Region’s forestry and wood policy by providing individual support to companies in the forestry and wood industry throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and support business projects in the food sector, to maintain and develop economic activities and new jobs in Burgundy-Franche-Comté,
  • Promote and canvass the food industry in France and internationally,
  • Supporting the development of businesses in the wood industry via the support available within the Burgundy-Franche-Comté Region,
  • Monitor key companies and major issues in the sectors concerned.

Educational Background/Experience

With a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of education in the Food and/or Agricultural Engineering sector, you ideally have prior experience in economic development.

  • Average level of Spanish would be a plus.
