Talents du luxe et de la création

In the course of its activities to develop and promote the luxury and exceptional know-how sector, commissioned by the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region, the AER formed a partnership with the Parisian think tank: The Centre du Luxe et de la Création. This partnership gave rise to the idea of organising, for the first time outside of Paris, the Luxury and Creation Talent Award Ceremony, created by the think tank in 2002.

Discover the luxury sector and exceptional know-how in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

An exceptional organisation

Together, we have chosen the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans as the setting for this event, which will take place on 7 June 2022. This year, the Saltworks is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its inclusion in the Unesco World Heritage List and will open its brand new huge circle to the public on 4 June.

Our objective is to highlight the too discreet talents of the companies of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté who work for the excellence of the productions in all the fields of luxury. We have therefore designed a complete programme around this event.

Highlighting exceptional regional know-how

From Saturday 4 June at 10am to Tuesday 7 June at 3pm, the exhibition “Luxury & exceptional know-how in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté” will be open to the public. This exhibition offers the opportunity to discover the productions and to learn about the trades in this sector by meeting training establishments and companies in the same space: leather goods, jewellery, watchmaking, eyewear, metal art, wood art, stone art, ceramics and the art of the table and hospitality. The objective: to show the continuum of training in the trades within regional establishments / jobs and careers within regional companies.

A debate: Creation, know-how, innovation and transmission: the role of luxury at the heart of the territories

Tuesday 7 June at 4.30pm

A time of exchange and debate will be proposed with our guest partners from the Centre du Luxe et de la Création:

In the context of an economy in transition, the debate will explore the issues that are of concern to the luxury industry.

After discussing the main trends in creation in 2022 and the societal changes impacting customers and consumption patterns, participants will address the role of creation and its value in today’s evolving production processes.

At a time of a transversal digital revolution, between the return of the handmade and global virtualisation, what will be the ingredients of tomorrow’s success stories? Creation, research & innovation, production, know-how & training… how can we write a new story of Luxury associating creation, research-innovation, training-transmission with companies and territories in France and in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté?

The Talents of Luxury award ceremony

Tuesday 7 June at 6pm:

While luxury industry prizes usually reward designers by profession, the Talents distinguish what drives the sacred fire of creation in luxury: Audacity, Well-being, Elegance, Harmony, Innovation, Invention, Originality, Rarity and Seduction.

A Talent is also awarded for Management. And finally, among the winners, a Footprint of the Year, a Special Jury Prize and a Golden Talent will also be awarded.
The 2022 edition has 42 nominees, including 7 from Burgundy.

This ceremony will be closed by an aperitif.

The Talent Dinner: The dinner will start around 8.30 pm, by invitation only.
